VINS 3D wants to transfer the potentials of georeferenced data acquisition, 3D reconstruction and virtual reality into innovative products. For this purpose, VINS supplies customized software and algorithms for industry-specific solutions with novel sensor concepts. For the forestry industry, VINS is developing the inspection system VINS-Forst. With this system, for which a patent application has been filed, forests can be easily recorded in a mobile and optical way. The automated evaluation of the data enables a large-area forest inventory to be carried out at the individual tree level in a time and cost effective manner. In addition, VINS-Forest can be used for terrain surveying, infrastructure mapping and timber mass surveys. The VINS-Forst data enables our customers in the forestry industry to manage resources more efficiently by means of detailed information and decision support systems and also to profitably implement innovative concepts such as Forest Warehouse.
