tazaldoo is developing a browser-based application that enables all information workers (e.g. journalists) to find, analyse and exploit relevant content and sources in social media such as Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. We cover three sub-areas:
- Curation: From a constantly updated portfolio of sources, which is compiled using the cultural and linguistic expertise of the members of the global journalist network "MundusMedia", the software curates relevant content and stores it in a database. Customers can also feed in their own sources.
- Verification: All curated content is subjected to metadata analysis. This determines in real time whether a source or content tends to be trustworthy by using, among other things, profile data, file information, linked and similar content or search engine results and web services. The results are evaluated with a credibility and relevance index and are clearly presented to the customer for further research. The software issues warnings in case of suspicion (counterfeiting).
- Personalization: Based on customer feedback, the software creates a personal profile to display additional suitable content. An algorithm supports filtering. The graphical processing of the feeds is done in the form of a dashboard.
