Humboldt-Innovation GmbH markets and commercialises resources and rights on behalf of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. These include, for example, trademarks and archives. Commercialisation generally takes the form of licensing or the company’s own business activities.
In addition, Humboldt-Innovation GmbH operates two science shops: the museum shop at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and the HumboldtStore at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Museums Shop
Humboldt-Innovation operates the museum shop for the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. Spanning approximately 100 square meters, the museum shop offers over 1,000 items related to the natural sciences. Here, budding young researchers can find the treasures they’ve been searching for, bookworms can indulge their passion, and those who are undecided can discover new and interesting things. From books to toys and science kits to T-shirts for all ages, there’s something for everyone here.
HumboldtStore
The HumboldtStore is the place where academia suddenly becomes wearable and looks surprisingly good on hoodies, tote bags and mugs. Whether you’re on campus, in the neighbourhood or in a lecture theatre, you’ll find everything here to make your everyday life at Humboldt a little brighter: practical essentials, little gift ideas and favourite university-themed items. For students, alumni, staff, visitors and anyone who wants to think of ‘Humboldt’ as more than just exam periods. Whether in-store or online: the HumboldtStore brings a piece of the university into your everyday life, with no compulsory attendance.
