AIOS is an AI-powered software for environmental perception using sensors. The product is aimed at companies operating drones, autonomous vehicles, or other sensor-equipped platforms. By providing up-to-date research results in the form of immediately deployable tools, AIOS enables high-quality environmental perception, regardless of the sensor and the environment. The time-consuming generation of application-specific data is minimized as a result.
The idea for AIOS originated in 2022 as part of research at the German Aerospace Center. Recurring problems in the development of AI-supported perception for autonomous vehicles highlighted the need for a sustainable development environment for AI training on sensor data.
