Democracy needs good journalism. But journalism is in crisis. Among young people in particular, almost no one subscribes to a newspaper. The problem is: advertising alone cannot finance high-quality journalism.
We are convinced that high-quality journalism has a future. The current offerings, however, have serious flaws. Publisher subscriptions are too rigid, their apps are outdated, and their news selection isn't diverse enough. We want to change that.
