As FLINTA** individuals, traveling is not entirely safe due to ongoing discrimination. Accordingly, couch surfing for this marginalized group also carries the risk of encountering dangerous situations characterized by hatred and violence based on sexual orientation or identity.

Quouch aims to provide an alternative to conventional couchsurfing apps, offering greater safety for FLINTA* individuals while traveling through their app. The app provides a homestay platform specifically for queer people and women. Founder Nora came up with the idea after experiencing some negative incidents of harassment while couch surfing herself.

Additionally, the team is developing a humor-based matching algorithm. This not only ensures safety during travel but also adds a humorous aspect to the experience.

*Acronym for Women, Lesbians, Intersex, Non-binary, Transgender, and Agender individuals; Asterisk represents all individuals who may not fit into the mentioned categories but are also affected by marginalization.
