Carbonsate's vision is to combat global warming by actively removing CO2 from the atmosphere. We implement and promote projects that safely and permanently store CO2 and thus offer organizations the opportunity to offset their remaining emissions by purchasing high-quality Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) certificates. To this end, we have developed a technology that allows biomass to be stored permanently. Measurable, efficient and trustworthy.
Fabian wrote his bachelor's thesis at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg on CO2 certificates from forestry. This was the first time he realized that the current way of generating CO2 certificates from forestry does not work and that there must be a better way to reward the forest for its climate performance. He then met Hannes during his Master's degree at the TU Berlin. The two quickly realized that they wanted to pursue this idea together.
