The real estate industry is currently facing enormous challenges: high costs and strict sustainability regulations are slowing down construction projects. arcneo was founded to provide a solution.
The startup’s platform enables private investors to invest in multi-family homes made from wooden modules. This presents a sustainable, cost-efficient alternative to traditional residential construction. By pre-producing the modules, construction costs are reduced. Additionally, the use of wood helps lower CO₂ emissions and water consumption. As a result, arcneo not only creates an attractive and profitable asset class but also opens up a new financing source for the construction industry—supporting affordable, sustainable housing.
Jens Bredler, one of the founders, comes from a family of project planners and gained early experience in the real estate industry, allowing him to recognize its challenges at an early stage: rising costs, regulatory hurdles, and a lack of financing alternatives. In his master's thesis, Jens developed the idea of addressing the real estate industry's challenges with modern financial products. This synergy laid the foundation for arcneo.
Now, arcneo is preparing for market entry and will focus over the next two years on acquiring, financing, developing, and selling sustainable construction projects through its platform. Connections to experts in private real estate financing, particularly those with strong networks who can support their mission, are especially valuable to them. arcneo finds its membership in the Humboldt Founders Club highly beneficial due to the networking opportunities and access to key decision-makers it provides.
