Alganize wins Impact Award

Alganize, a former BSS team and startup founded by Omar Khalaf, Nils Brüggemann, and Karl M., won the Impact Award at the IMPACT FESTIVAL in Frankfurt am Main, beating out 60 other teams.

The startup is certainly making an impact, as its goal is to reforest deserts and address the serious issue of soil degradation. To achieve this, the company uses microalgae, aiming to ensure long-term resource availability.

At the IMPACT FESTIVAL, Alganize was joined by other BSS teams from the SustainabilityXSociety cluster, as well as alumni from the Humboldt Founders-Club: LoopLook, Carbonsate, GreenMates, ueiya, KorrekturKumpel, Kronfeld Tragfläche®, Naviri, and MatchLocal.
