Second call for proposals for ProValid in 2026 launched

Volker Hofmann zu ProValid

ProValid is a funding initiative run by Humboldt-Innovation GmbH, the State of Berlin and IBB Business Team GmbH. It provides funding of up to 140,000 euros to researchers who have a promising research idea but lack the necessary capital for the required validation measures. With the help of ProValid, recipients can successfully translate their project into commercial application.

On 10 August 2026, the second call for applications for 2026 was launched, running until 5 October 2026. Until this date, researchers have the opportunity to apply for ProValid funding, thereby increasing the chances of their innovation reaching market readiness.

Funding is available for validation activities such as technical feasibility studies, prototype development, market potential analyses, patent analyses and the development of business models.
