Forum Junge Spitzenforschung 2026 – Theme: Resilient Energy Infrastructure
Forum Junge Spitzenforschung is seeking innovative research ideas for 2026 centred on the theme of Resilient Energy Infrastructure.
How can electricity grids become more stable and resilient? How can the energy supply to hospitals, for example, be secured even in the event of a public grid failure? And how can renewable energy be generated even more efficiently and intelligently?
We are looking for innovative, application-oriented research approaches that have the potential to move from the laboratory into practice and make the energy infrastructure future-proof.
The six finalists will have the opportunity to present their research project live to a jury of industry experts on the evening of the awards ceremony. All finalists will receive prize money, visibility for their research and, optionally, professional pitch training.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to early-career researchers from the following groups:
- PhD students
- Postdocs
- Research assistants
- Junior lecturers
- Senior consultants
We are looking for research projects with a concrete practical application relating to the topic of Resilient Energy Infrastructure.
