In a few days’ time, on 16 September 2026, the final Innovation Lab of the 2026 summer term will begin, led by Anett Lommatzsch.
What makes it special? This time, it is being held in collaboration with NLND. A Berlin-based innovation hub spanning 150,000 m² in Berlin-Neukölln, it serves as a space for networking and collaboration between industry, start-ups and academia. As part of the InnoLab, students will develop a sustainable strategy for NLND, meaning the event will take place not only in the buildings of Humboldt University but also within the innovation hub itself.
As well as the local variety, the skills students will acquire are also wide-ranging. As strategy consultants, they will learn methods of comparative analysis, develop and evaluate sustainability strategies from environmental, social and economic perspectives, gain an understanding of sustainability as an integral part of an ecosystem strategy, partnerships and organisational development, and thus build up expertise in the areas of sustainability management, change processes and stakeholder communication. These are skills that significantly enhance career prospects in these fields.
In addition, participants experience what it is like to pitch their own findings to a panel of experts and receive direct professional feedback.
