Talking Transfer: Startup Support for Science-Based Ventures from Berlin Universities

Researchers from all disciplines at the BUA institutions are warmly invited to this online information session introducing Science & Startups - the joint startup service of TU Berlin, HU Berlin and FU Berlin, in cooperation with Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

In this one-hour session, you will learn how Science & Startups supports researchers who are interested in transferring their research results into practice through a startup. You will get a concise overview of available support and concludes with time for questions and discussion. The event covers:

  • What Science & Startups is and how it is organized across the participating universities
  • Which services and formats are available to you as a researcher (e.g. consulting, qualification, networking)
  • How Science & Startups supports early-stage startups
  • An overview of relevant funding and grant options for academic founders

The event is aimed at researchers who are curious about entrepreneurship, are considering a startup idea, or simply want to learn more about the support structures available within the Berlin university landscape.

The event is open to researchers from TU Berlin and BUA partner institutions.

Treatment of adults on the autism spectrum

Psychotherapists gain an insight into the behavioural therapy treatment programme for adults on the autism spectrum developed by the university outpatient clinic. The programme also addresses topics such as stress and emotion regulation, as well as the nature of the therapeutic relationship, which often presents different challenges with this target group.

Diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders in adulthood

This short workshop provides an overview of the diagnostic criteria and methods used in (differential) diagnosis in adults and introduces cognitive-behavioural therapy approaches for adults on the autism spectrum.
