Science into Business: We’re officially among the top 12 in Europe!

Great news for Berlin’s startup ecosystem! The Financial Times and Statista have published their “Europe’s Leading Start-Up Hubs 2026” ranking. And we’re thrilled that Science & Startups has climbed to 12th place in Europe.

For us at Humboldt-Innovation, this is far more than just a number. It is confirmation of our mission: to bridge the gap between excellent research and market-ready solutions.

Among more than 180 startup hubs evaluated across Europe, we achieved the following rankings:

🔹 Top 12 in Europe (moved up from 19th place)

🔹 6th place in the Track Record category (based on the success of the startups supported)

🔹 Top 2 of the university startup hubs in Germany

🔹 Place 1 in Berlin

What really matters about this result is not the label itself. It is what it reflects: our long-term commitment to science-based entrepreneurship, strong mentoring, and the ability to turn research into real-world impact.

For Berlin as a hub of science and innovation, this is an encouraging sign—especially for deep-tech sectors. Because in these areas, building startups requires more than just good ideas: it demands reliable support structures.

Congratulations to our partners and, above all, to the founders who make this success possible!
