In 2022, Dr. Tolga Wagner completed his PhD at the Technical University of Berlin, graduating with distinction. In his dissertation, he developed a method to visualize dynamic processes in nanoelectronics with high temporal and spatial resolution. This "Interference Gating" technique enables the study of ultrafast electron processes in semiconductors.

In 2024, the scientist joined the Structure Research/Electron Microscopy group of Prof. Christoph T. Koch at the Institute of Physics, HU Berlin. At his workplace, he applies the method he developed during his doctoral research.

We spoke with the talented researcher about his innovative technique, his current project, and his career journey. Read the full interview on our INSIGHTS blog: https://insights.humboldt-innovation.de/en/2025/10/16/interview-with-ph…
