Bridge to Market program for AI projects
Bridge-to-Market (B2M) is a pre-start-up program for the field of AI from the K.I.E.Z. - Artificial Intelligence Entrepreneurship Center. As part of the program, AI projects are supported quickly and unbureaucratically. It is checked whether they are valid and technically feasible and whether a company foundation is possible. Funding is also available in the form of grants and material resources.
The program is aimed at teams from the participating institutions (Technische Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Charité - Berlin Universität für Medizin). If the teams are in Berlin during the program and are accepted in one of the four partner incubators, other universities are also possible.
Bridge to Market Funding
- Up to three potential founders can be funded
- Funding period of 6 months
- Up to EUR 10,000 for material resources and grants (depending on experience and level of education)
Support
The project team is supported by the teams of the university start-up centers. The approaches and results of the AI projects are checked for their market suitability. If the AI project passes the review, the teams are also supported in the next steps, for example in applying for further funding such as the EXIST start-up grant.
Application procedure
The application process takes place in two steps. Experienced experts examine the project for its suitability for entrepreneurship and for the significance of AI within the business idea. If the project description is convincing, the team presents its AI project to an independent jury. After the pitch, a decision is made as to whether the team will be accepted into the Bridge to Market program. Consultation with one of the incubators may be recommended between these steps.
