The training is aimed at interpreters for German Sign Language (DGS), who work in inclusive settings in schools or want to work in the future.
Central aspects of interpreting in inclusive educational settings will be discussed and jointly reflected upon. These include pedagogical aspects (psychology, language acquisition, pedagogy in the context of hearing impairments) as well as translation science and practical aspects of educational interpreting. In addition, legal and ethical principles are taught and possibilities for cooperation between the various actors in inclusive schools are discussed.
