In cooperation with external partners, Humboldt-Innovation GmbH (HI) offers professional training sessions relating to knowledge and technology transfer (KTT). The sessions focus on the opportunities created by the transfer channels contract research, spin-off management and patents.
Professional training programmes relating to knowledge and technology transfer
Partly in cooperation with HU and external partners, HI offers a variety of professional training programmes, such as:
On IP Day, researchers, students as well as entrepreneurs and prospective founders can get acquainted with the issues surrounding intellectual property law. Participation is free for all those affiliated with HU.
Various areas of property law, such as patents, trade marks and copyright laws, will be introduced in practical terms by patent agents and lawyers. HU’s patent agent presents the university’s invention and patenting process. The German Patent and Trade Mark Office (Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt, DPMA) or the European Patent Office (EPO) support the event with information material and/or presentations on patent and trade mark research. External research partners and entrepreneurs affiliated with HU share their experiences with intellectual property issues in cooperation with the university.
Humboldts Unternehmerbausteine (Entrepreneurs’ building blocks)
This series of seminars was created with the needs of prospective entrepreneurs among HU’s researchers and students in mind. Participation is free.
In several modules, participants will gain a broad overview of topics that are relevant when founding and leading a company. This includes legal issues, management, sales, marketing and branding, environmental management and corporate social responsibility. Experts from business and in particular from Berlin’s start-up scene will contribute valuable know-how and practical knowledge from their respective field.
Prepare “Science to startup” – in cooperation with B!GRÜNDET, the spin-off network of Berlin’s universities, and on behalf of Stiftung Industrieforschung, HI organizes this annual workshop. The event includes a competition for graduates, postdocs, Ph. D. candidates and scientists from all fields of research. Multidisciplinary teams develop ideas and, mentored by experts, business models, employing the business model Canvas. The best among the newly developed ideas will be awarded a prize.
